The Senkenberg Museum - daytrip of class 5s

22. Juli 2025

It was a windy March day and our class decided to do a school trip to the Senkenberg Museum in Frankfurt. It was 8:00 o’clock in the morning and we stood in front of the sports hall. We had March, so it was a little bit cold outside. We all wore jackets, but we had to wait for the bus that drove us to the museum. After it finally came, we all got in and drove for 1 and a half hours to the museum. After we arrived at the museum, we got in. We drove so long that we all had to go to the toilet. Then we showed our tickets and got in.

First, we walked through a part with extinct dinosaurs. The dinosaurs looked scary. We saw all the bones a dinosaur had. It was amazing. Then we saw extinct mammoths and other animals that live in a jungle.

Next, we got in the part with underwater animals and dinosaurs. We also saw extinct turtles. They looked sweet. We also saw ammonites and old and rare stones. We got to the stairs and went up to the first floor. There we saw a blue whale – the biggest animal alive in the world.

There were also extinct animals whose species are still alive, like bears or zebras. After that long day in the museum, we drove back to the school. It was a very cool school trip.
